Research topic

Individuals with ADHD have inspired my work. The objective of my research is to find an answer as to why there is a higher prevalence of obesity and overweight among adult with ADHD.  I intend to approach this issue from a new perspective by examining: (1) Unhealthy food choices of individuals with ADHD; (2) Their benefit/risk perceptions about healthy and unhealthy foods; and (3) The influence of attractiveness and convenience food cues on their decision making (both in the laboratory and in the field).
